The Community Colleges Division provides numerous ways for community colleges professionals to get involved.

Workshops and Signature InitiativesThere are numerous ways to get involved in workshops and conferences hosted by NASPA and the CCD. The CCD hosts a number of signature initiatives to include the Community Colleges Institute (CCI), Community Colleges Symposium Series (CCSS), and the NCC Online Series. All of these initiatives provide a variety of volunteer opportunities to present, review programs, or serve on planning committees. All volunteer opportunities will be posted on NASPA's Volunteer Central so check back frequently.
CCD Latinx/a/o Task ForceThe CCD Latinx/a/o Task Force to advace Latinx student affairs professionals at community colleges and seeks to advance current adn aspiring student affairs professionals of Latinx descent who wish to work in community colleges. If your are interested in potential opportunities to participate on the LTF, visit their web page for contact information and volunteer opportunities.
Regional InvolvementMembers are encouraged to reach out to their Region Representative (find yours on our leadership roster) to inquire about ways to get involved regionally with the CCD. The map below outlines our regions:
- Nominate community college colleagues for NASPA awards, including the Community College Professional Award and the Community Colleges Research and Scholarship Award.
- Read one of the excellent publications you have access to with your NASPA membership, especially the Community College Journal of Research and Practice. To access these important higher education publications, visit http://journals.naspa.org, select the journal of your choice, and log in with your NASPA username and password.
- Initiate conversations with your colleagues -- locally, regionally, and nationally -- and then share your thoughts with the CCD Board. Let us know your needs, challenges, and interests.
