Speakers

Chris Mosier will be our opening speaker.  Chris is an athlete, coach and education and in 2015 because the first openly trans man to make a Men’s US National Team when he qualified for the Spring Duathlon team.  You many have also seen his Nike commercial which debuted prime time in the 2016 Rio Olympics.  Chris’s also worked in higher education and served as the Co-Vice Chair of Trans* Inclusion at NASPA. Chris most recently spoke at the National Conference in a talk moderated by our very own  Alex and Julia which received raved reviews.

Dr. Mary Beth Cooper will be our closing speaker.  She is the 13th President of Springfield College and has had a long and distinguished career in higher education.  She served as the Vice President of Student Affairs at RIT prior to her appointment at Springfield.  She is known for her volunteer leadership and has been names to National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities Committee on Policy Analysis and Public Relations as well as to the board of trustees of the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning.   It’s exciting to have a student affairs professional become President of a university and it will be great to hear from her as well as connect our conference back to Springfield College.
